SEZON is a company that sales shoes and accessories. It was founded in 2010 in Chernivtsi and more than 1,400,000 pairs of shoes have been sold during this period. Currently, the chain has 25 SEZON stores in different cities of Ukraine.

The range is constantly updated and now it has more than 40,000 pairs of shoes from leading Ukrainian manufacturers. In addition, the company has its own call center, where consultants will help choose the perfect couple even for the most demanding.

In order to promote the brand on the Internet, the client was offered to launch contextual advertising on Google. This is one of the best tools for those who want to get more customers and upgrade their customer base.

How does contextual advertising work?

Advertisements are displayed depending on the interests of each individual user: what queries he entered, which sites he visited, and so on. The content of the advertisement is related to the main word in the search and its subject matter is determined by the individual context. This is what makes such ads unobtrusive.

 Example of contextual advertising: a person searches for inexpensive sneakers and enters a search query in Google, to which the system issues a list of pages where he can buy what interests him. The purpose of contextual advertising is to make your site one of the top search engines.

Before setting up advertising, we analyzed in detail the online store and all its positions and determined what needs to be done to make the site convective (sell more). Our specialist has formed the semantic core of the site  — a set of words and phrases that describe the product and its characteristics. We have also written texts that potential buyers will see and improved the application forms on the site so that everything works clearly and without interruptions.

The next step is to analyze the customer’s target audience, i.e. those who are most likely to buy shoes or accessories from our customer. The base of clients was researched and the main interests of our potential buyers were identified. This allowed us to show ads not only directly in the Google search, but also on other sites (this type of advertising is called contextual advertising). The Google Analytics service has been activated in order to monitor the effectiveness of advertising.

As advertising was launched throughout Ukraine, we prepared ads in Ukrainian and Russian to reach as many people as possible. The main goal of the advertising campaign is to bring users to the site and encourage them to buy. Do you think we managed to achieve it?

In June were attracted 17,000 users, 9,000 of which were completely new customers who had not ordered anything on our client’s website before. About 48 thousand hrn. were spent on advertising, and the purchases themselves were made in the amount of 270 thousand hryvnias. In the graph you can see the analysis of transactions for the period of the advertising campaign.

In total, the number of ad impressions was 3,560,789.

To achieve such good results, we daily monitored the optimization of advertising campaigns, analyzed ads and statistics, found out what queries and keywords the user came to us and edited the semantic core according to the data update.
